Fed: Costello says economy can keep growing

Federal Treasurer PETER COSTELLO says he's confident Australia can maintain strongeconomic growth.

Mr COSTELLO says Australia's growth rate of 4.1 per cent in 2001 was the strongestin the industrialised world, and the outlook is still positive for this year.

He's told the Liberal Party's federal council it's a good time to investment in theAustralian economy, which is enjoying the benefits of reforms over the past six years.
