Volunteers count 6,220 birds in NYC's Central Park

NEW YORK (AP) — Birdwatchers have counted 6,220 birds and 59 bird species in New York City's Central Park.

Sunday's 111th annual Christmas Bird Count found some birds that are rarely spotted in New York this time of year such as the red-headed woodpecker.
